The Mimic Filefish, as the name implies, is an imitation of another fish, in this case the Canthigaster valentini. This imitation makes it appear to predators that it will be an unpleasant meal, driving them away. The Mimic has two dorsal spines, the puffer, only one. It is very peaceful and should only be avoided with fish of its own species. The diet should consist of frozen food such as mysis or brineshrimp.
